| This song is definitely about a loved one dying. It's kind of morbid, but beautiful. My favorite Halifax song. | |

| I saw them live 2.5 years ago, before the CD with this song came out, and they played it. But right before performing it, he mentioned that his grandfather just passed away and this song is about him. | |

| Okay...I'm prettty sure the song is about Mike Hunau's grandfather when he was sick/dying and all the pain that Mike felt. I might be wrong about who it was that died but like oh doctor doctor said, it is definately about a loved one. | |

| "i saw then live like two days ago and they said it was going to be their last time playing it live. " Really, now? That's funny, because I saw them about 5 times this month and they played it every single time. And MySensesHavFailed35 hit it right on the nose with the Mike quote. | |

| "The song 'Sydney' is about how, in May of 2003, my grandfather Sydney Marcus died after a battle with Parkinson disease and a related condition, dementia, which causes memory loss. For me, this was a lot different than writing about a normal death in the family, because for the last year of his, my grandfather couldn't even recognize me. So I tried to use lines such as 'You're so medicated, you don't even remember my name,' to try to put people in my shoes and show them how hard it was. So the message is, take advantage of the time you have with loved ones, because unlike these songs, they won't be around forever" ---Mike Hunau this is my favorite song off their EP along with broken glass syndrome | |
