Hanson Misery Acoustic Chords Guitar Tab

Song: Misery (live, acoustic)
Album: Underneath (Underneath Acoustic, more technically, I suppose)
Artist: Hanson
Submitted by: madeline smith: resplendent_euphoria@yahoo.com
Okay! For some strange reason, when Hanson does this song live, it's in C.
On "Underneath," however, it's in Bb. What? Well, it's easier to play in C,
but you can drop it to Bb, no problem, if you so desire.
Chords used:
C: 032010 (though I think Hanson tends to do it 332010--whatever)
C7: 032000
Am: 002210
Em: 022000
G: 320033 (or 320003, as I think Hanson usually plays it)
C C7
This time, I won't take it back
Am C7

Am
the garden that I used to grow
C7
Walkin' on down the road
Em Am

If you WANT to play it in Bb, here are the chords:
Bb: X13331
Bb7: X13131
Gm: 355333
Dm: X00231
F: 133211
----yeah, I think. Like I said, C is easier.

The song is about a relationship that they realize cannot be repaired. He is still in love with her but realizes that the pain of being together is not much easier than the pain of being apart.

During bridges, there is a little Radiohead-sound like effect. This song is amazing. 1

i think that possibly this is about a relationship where things were good at first and then the girl probably cheated and the guy finally realized that she was and is just saying that all these bad things have happend and no matter how hard we try it just isnt going to work "as long as were together it can always only be misery" and its just better to be apart "on this side the grass is greener than the garden that i used to grow"
