| Thank you -=TiedToTheTracks=- for saying exactly what was on my mind (and giving me nothing else to say in my post! lol j/k) I think that this song which made them a house hold name at that time, also is what led to their downfall. I'll be the first to admit, the groups i liked maybe 5 years ago I am even embarassed to admit I even liked, isn't it the same for everyone? Though Hanson really has grown up since the MMMbop days and since most people are too thick in the head to give them another chance, they simply don't. I've listened to "This Time Around" cd, and I have to say, one of THE best cds out there, if not THE best (well..if Pearl Jam didn't exist they would be but..hell they're way up they're on my list! lol) and it's sad to see that it was a flop, money wise. It's stupid being tied down to a label they've gotten after 4/5 years, I mean, they've grown so much since then, why do people consistently have to remind them about their past, their past is what made them who they are today. Whoever says the Hansons look like girls need to GROW UP. Seriously. It's about the music, not the face that's singing it. Would you really listen to something that sounded like 10 cats being strangled in a bag just because the person who's singing it was the most drop dead gorgeous person in the world? For the first couple of times you might, but after a while it just gets old. This song I admit, I hate and I never listen to, though they have proved themselves respect-worthy on their "This Time Around" cd, and anyone not willing to listen to that cd because of their biased opinion on this song, are ones who won't make it far in life. | |

| ::sigh:: I kind of miss the "MMMBop days". Yeah... Being a teeny was fun in an innocent sort of way. :) Oh well. Just have to wait for the new album... | |

| Hanson...what can I say? You just gotta love 'em. Always will...no matter what other music I come in contact with. And this song started it all. It's hard to believe that was over five years ago... | |

| Ya know, most people don't give Hanson, or this song, a chance because alot of people heard what sounded like a bunch of girls going "bop bop be bop ba" and they instantly begin to make fun of it. But I think people should really give this song a chance because it's really a great song. It's something that everyone can relate to; many people will come into your life, but they very rarely stick around. So you need to appreciate those people you have, the people who will always be there for you, because those are the ones who really care. Ok, maybe I didn't word that right, but you ge my point :) | |

| This song is pure sunshine. And sometimes that's just what you need. There's no song out there that makes me feel as instantly happy as this one. I know that's hard to understand, but, hey. As to what the song means? Oh fuck, who cares? :o) It's obvious - live your damn life before God takes it away from you and cherish all those close to you. Yes, it's simple, but it's best that way. The version that EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the united states (and all over the world, too) has heard (Middle of Nowhere CD version) is my least fave version of the song. I like the version from Three Car Garage the best, where Taylor was maybe, oh, 11. Think the boy sounded like a girl? Heh, you'll have fun with that version. But anyway. That version is so vibrant and pure. Sunshine. | |

| I don't care about them looking like chicks (I listen to japanese glam rock for gods sake), I could give a shit if they don't care if I like the song..I don't care if they don't like the song, I don't fucking like the song...hell, it probably even got to THEM after a while.... this is right up there with the marcarena people. this should never be played again just for the sake of humanity they had a message in this song....and then they wrote this stupid chorus that now nobody can look past and see the meaning to. it's ruined really..I bet if it wasn't for that annoying chorus, people would just be able to ignore it if they didn't like it 1 2 3 Next | |
