Artist: Hawthorne Heights
Song:Dead In The Water
This band is really good and pretty easy to play. I am 99.9% sure that this is right.
I'm not positive on the chorus with the lead guitar or the bridge but I'm going to
figure it out. If you like this tab then rate it. By the way this is my first tab
and I'm only 12. Oh and I can't tell if this is drop d or not. If so tell me in
the comments. I play it standard and it sounds fine.

| I listen to this everyday, and I after reading others responses, I do think that this song is about an addiction to a drug. Just read the lyrics, especially the first line:"The medicine is blending in it's in the blood with oxygen"..everyone knows that when you do drugs/drink that it gets into your bloodstream. Then the song goes on to basically explain how they would have never thought that it would go this far and even though they know how bad it is, they have no choice but to "follow where she leads into the darkness." Until he can "cut through ribbons of self doubt and figure himself out" 1 2 Next | |

| I love the way he uses metaphors in this. I agree, everyone does have a song that's special, and I think he's saying that he wants the person to know that he wants them to think of him, and the whole thing with the chorus, I think it's possibly a dream he's having about her, and that he can't stop thinking of her because she IS a part of him. Oh, and I think the line goes, "I follow where she leads into the darkness, DRYING UP MY VEINS..." sounds more like that than the fangs thing...[clare] | |

| My favourite part of the song is "I need this right now to figure myself out Cutting through the ribbons of self doubt I never thought you'd see me this way" To me, it means when your faced with a situation of sorts that is difficult, but you only have a moment to find a solution, it's everyone that's watching you, analyzing your every move. It's probably far from what the song actually means, but it's my personal interpretation. | |
