This sounds like a typical "girl-comes-of-age" story, with psycho-sexual-mystical (how very Victorian) overtones.

For more info on this song as it ties to the relationship Ann had with Dennis Wilson, and it's relevance to Charles Manson, see my comments about the song "Crazy on You" 1

One thing I failed to mention inmy message above was that Dennis' nickname for Manson was"the Wizard", also coincedental of Ann's Magic Man, but again her affair was with Dennis, and not Charlie, although she and Nancy did know Charlie...

well, i don't care about the way this song was made, those weird cave stories, but folks: have you watched The Swingers? this songs fits there perfectly. it's money.

i love this song, but hearing how people come up with songs kind of ruins them for me, so i'm gonna go on thinking this song is about that guy you meet that is just so wrong for you but you still can't seem to let go of him, i.e. that bad boy that kind of sucks you in with those killer eyes and all the right lines. (in other words i will disavow all knowledge of some hippie dude hanging his undergarments up on a clothesline in canada, but thanks for the behind the story, people) :)
