| u guys are close. i was told by kim, a personal friend of jahreds ( the lead singer of hed pe) that jahred had a friend who did an african painting about elephants and other spiritual meanings relating to african culture. she showed this painting to jahred and it inspired him to write a song about it. at the end of the song u hear a girl talking and that is the artist talking about her painting. a lot of african spiritual symbolisim in this song. the demo version is very raw and has more of a sad feeling to it. | |

| I cranked the volume and this is what I could hear of what the artist is saying: This is an African legend It’s a love story And uh it’s about uh two people They were, they were very much in love From different tribes And they’re um, they were going to be sacrificed And after they died, God made them into elephants Because African believe that elephants are immortal And then he put, he made the elephants body the system Is just the female in the word it symbolizes, you know, uh the freedom of love and love of flower tell them that the abstract beautiful that you can see whatever you want to see but before the hunters they used to uh, to take the elephants youthfully and um, he, he, he put the symbol on them so that everybody will know that they are hope____ and this is the story and um ___________________ | |

| this is my favourite song in the world by my favourite band. for me, it means to be in love with someone that after it all you cannot be with in the long run, but will be with once, if not from time to time. the 'meadow', it is that place where you go in your head, the place where you can see yourself with this person, the perfect place. my two best friends and i always sung this song together. since then times have changed but i always can see them there when i sing this song in my meadow 1 | |
