I first heard Sonatas cover version of this one, but its all in all really nice piece, goes second to my fav Helloween songs. I can't really explain it any better than the lyrics do, it's just about the todays' education and/or society, different people placed in a small groups at very young age and tought things that they can't probably even understand clearly yet, or things that are already clear but taught in such a narrow way, like they shouldn't think of them in any other way than they are told. And that in the end its all up to you what you want to be, your parents or school can't decide it even if they would interfere. My first post, plus english isn't my native language, so there...

All it really needs now is a crappy 80's montage put to it, Footloose or Rocky style. Running, ripping your shirt off, dodging the crowds, finally coming to rest on your knees in the middle of dark street in the rain, hands raised into the air screaming I WANT OUT!

This song was my theme for the last two weeks I was working at a terrible seasonal job in the Rockies... I just wanted the hell outta there, and I blasted this song to lighten some of my burden and make me feel better.

Its about how even from an early age, people are drilling their own thoughts and beliefs into you, almost making it impossible to have a singular mind. Its made up of so many different people's thoughts that in the end you just wanna scream cause you don't know what's right and what's wrong.

Dont remember what filosofer who have wrote about it but I think this is about people who live in societys can´t be free. From the beginning we lost our clean and innocent minds, they are filled with our parents/societys beliefs and ideals, we cant think free and undisturbed when we are learnt to think in one way. If you have seen "a beuftiful mind", Nash has kind of the same belif. He thinks attending lessons would be to lose his gift to see things clearly. Its harder to find something revolutionery when you adapt other persons thoughts and ideas.
