| This is a beautiful song. Alot of mixed messages. I think it means that there is a person who loves another deeply, but they feel undiserving of that persons love. "But I know where I belong Away from your gods That heal all wounds and light this endless dark" This person perfers that they stay in this endless dark and I do not know why because this person who wants to be with someone who is perfet and pure, feels they do not diserve this good thing. It might also mean something about hurtfull love. I know its stupid to say because we all get hurt when we are in love, but the word "forlorn" means: appearing sad or lonely because of being deserted or abandoned. Mabe this person wants to make up for some things that went wrong in a past relationship, but they cant bring themselves to make up/ fix what went wrong because they might have hurt that person they love so badly that they feel undiserving of a second chance. I hope this was helpfull because this was my first review or whatever this is called. lmao =] | |

| I think he is saying he dosen't want a miricle God that is able to do anything. He would rather worship the one who he loves. Love is the temple, and if you made the reference to The Sacrement, she is his Sacrement, his bread of live as to say. His religion is not the worship of any miricle God, but of Love. | |

| I can personally relate to this one, and I think I get what it means. It's all in the chorus. "i know where I belong, away from your gods" The singer isn't and can't be religious.. he's a dark soul, and doesn't belong in divinity. He prefers to stay in the "endless dark", but is in love with the person he's singing it to. He prefers to spend his life worshipping their love, the only thing thats ever been real for him. | |
