aff... come on, her life was not only based on Kurt Cobain, i'm a nirvana fan, i think she killed him but give her some credit... My opinion is that this song is about getting over someone by fleeing, in that case going to the beach... it's the same thing then drink to forget obs.: Spliphstar kurt problably helped her writing her songs the same way she helped him... there's some influence of courtney in In Utero if you don't know...

its not ALL SONGS HAVE TO BE ABOUT KURT, this album was released 4 years after his death{she was suffering. hell yes.} so references to kurt will appear all the time. {And the sun goes down I watch you slip away and the sun goes down I walk into the waves and I knew Love would tear you apart Oh and I knew the darkest secret of your heart}. billy corgan did participated on the production of this album. if you dont believe it, just check Dying =P

courtney was on howard stern in 98 and she said this song is about an ex-boyfriend who lived in malibu so i think thats what its about or she could be lying.

exactly, they were together for a long time and u cant expect 2 writers like that not to have an influence on eachother, she said it herself that kurt had some influence on live through this. and courtney was writing songs long before she met kurt. i agree with mainstreet on the meaning of the song, i think its about kurt and the way he retreated into himself

and stop fucking ARGUING about who wrote holes songs, for fucks sake. yes, kurt had some influence on their early stuff, just like courtney helped with the lyrics to heart-shaped box. as someone said above. and yes billy corgan helped out with music and phrasing on this album.

I like this song, celebrity skin, and doll parts. Other than that I think her lyrics are shit. I don't believe that all her songs are about Kurt. I think she could have cared less. I think Courtney is an idiot and a horrible person. Now that she has Frances back she says she wants to be a better more possitive person. I hope she's right, then maybe she can gain some respect for herself and stop living off the fame of her dead husband. 1 2 Next

this might have something to do with kurt, and also drugs....[get well soon, please dont go any higher] i think it's the whole aspect of how you can "forget all your troubles at the beach", and how courtney just wants to leave everything and get away.[hey hey, were all watching you, oh baby fly away, to malibu]
