Plump by Hole
From Live Through This

Transciption by Anthony Tong

Rhymthm is approx. below. Listen to CD for the exact timing.

All powerchords.

means to slide up the neck

F#5 D5 D5/A E5 D5 D5
----------------- ------------ ------------- -------------
----------------- ------------ ------------- -------------
----------------- --7--7-7-7-- --9--9--7-7-- -7-7-7-7-7--
--4--4--4--x-x-x- --7--7-7-7-- --9--9--7-7-- -7-7-7-7-7--
--4--4--4--x-x-x- --5--5-5-5-- --7--7--5-5-- -5-5-5-5-5--
--2--2--2--x-x-x- ---------5-- ------------- -------------
Riff 1 Riff 2 Chorus Break/Outro

Verse: Play riff1 (3x), then play riff2. Repeat.

That's almost all of the song. There's a bridge with a really quiet guitar
and some lead stuff that I didn't bother to transcribe.

Enjoy!

"Plump" from Hole's "Live Through This":
Move this power chord on the frets as numbered:
first finger two frets above the fourth finger, 6th and 5th strings:
2nd fret
lift up your first finger and put it back quickly, hitting the open E string
, you'll get the rhythm right if you listen to the song and play it, we'll
call this riff 1
"He shakes his dick rattle, spittle on his bib...."
riff 1, same power chord, but on 5th fret then hit an open E string
"I'm eating you..."
bar chord on 7th fret:
1- - - -1
34
then move it down to the 5th fret

yup you're right. i never knew what it was about but after reading courtney saying in an interview it was about that, it all makes a lot more sense. its like the time i found out what nirvana's 'polly' was about, it absolutely changed the whole feel of the song for me. im not sure if thats good or bad.

this song was written while frances bean was being kept from kurt and courtney after it was known that they were drug users.
