| this was my favourite song when I was 12 years old. I dont think i really payed that much attention to the lyrics then (lol) but in retrospect, it's simple but poetic. kill me pills, no one cares my friends my friends I always heard the line ''kill me pills'' as though she's calling the drugs 'kill me pills''. not like she's asking them to kill her. make any sense? | |

| well, bruiseviolet, i hate to be the one to break it to you, but kurt did not kill himself...and courtney did not murder him. someone who was looking for kurt (for whatever reason) killed him. i mean, who knows, it could have been someone else who was involved in drugs. after all, kurt was involved in drugs himself. i understand that for most people it's just so much easier to say that he commited suicide because then you don't have to worry about proving anything. but the fact is, is that there were NO fingerprints on the shotgun. NOT EVEN HIS OWN. and since courtney isn't smart enough or half as bright to murder anyone, she couldn't have done it, not to mention that HER FINGERPRINTS ALSO WEREN'T FOUND ON THE SHOTGUN OR ANYTHING ELSE. so, i agree with you, courtney didn't kill kurt cobain...but he didn't kill himself either. now, not that i don't care about his death (i am a nirvana and hole fan), but i refuse to go into anymore details about his death. no disrespect, folks, but his death was 12 years ago and quite frankly, i'm tired of talking about it. i'd rather sit back and enjoy the music from both nirvana and hole. | |

| We all obviously agree this song is based on depression. Some of the best works are. It's when you really have alot of emotion you can get out and share, you know? I think in this song, Miss World, is coming to terms with herself, while at the same time looking for attention, someone or something to help her out. She understands herself alone is the reason for her feeling this way. She's facing it, and although it hurts she's willing to the blame. Full responsibility, even if it's too late for anyone to care. | |

| kinda sounds like me... and lots of ppl out there i bet too. an ex-bf went rank on me calling me names and saying how i think im so perfect and im not(that hurt badly) this girl pushed me up against a wall tried punching me and said she wanted to kill me "because im so perfect" and so on... ppl obviously dont know anything about me to think im so perfect. maybe cuz im nto one of those ppl who make it obvious.. i only express positiveness | |

| My take of the song is that it refers to outside image versus internal distress. Miss world symbolises what people see, beautiful, perfect and happy. However inside she is dying inside. "i'm miss world, somebody kill me kill me pills, no one cares my friends my friends" - She makes reference to her friends, by friends i think she is refering to those people who become your friends on a shallow baisis. Fairweather friends, who fail to recognize, or turn away from her in her severe depression. "I make my bed I lie in it, I make my bed I lie in it", refers to her awareness that she has put herself in this mess by continually covering up her pain as away to preserve her pristine image. "I am the girl who cant look you in the eye I am the girl I lie and lie and lie" refers to her faking her perfect life. She lives in a constant lie to preserve her image. Essentailly her pain becomes to much to bare, and even though she is surrounded by her adoring friends she is aware their friendship is based on her flash and she is therefore alone in her misery | |
