i really love this song. it's sounds so pretty...with a sound that sounds like no other. although the lyrics are kind of depressing (what did they mean by walking away "just like on tv?"), the song is still really pretty. i love it!

I personally like the song, but the singer sounds a hell of a lot like Kurt Cobain at times. YES! he does!! I was trying to figure out who he sounded like. You're so right. This song is soo awesome, I love it. They overplay on it the radio too much, but it still rocks. 1 2 Next

yeah, i think it's called "eighteen" cause that's how old the guy was when he wrote it... or it's how he felt at that age... or that's what people feel at that age i like the song

this song, the writer had to be an emotional masochist.. i mean, he liked crying himself to sleep because of HER.. why? we don't know.. maybe we're not supposed to he's seen this scenario on tv before.. "she" has to leave, he loves her, and it's that pivital moment where it's just like.. hey what's going on, and before you know it, she mysteriously turns around and walks away all those things she said to him, he liked that, he knew he loved that.. but he didn't like crying, he just liked her and all there is/was about her i keep rambling, hope that helps you out kids, this is definitely a late-teenage break-up song.. it's so dawson's creek, almost

I think that the guy is longing for a girl who doesn't really return his affections. She's just playing games with him. He likes it because it's better to have a girl flirt with you and lead you on, then for her to completely ignore you. This happens a lot in real life, I have come to believe. Especially at the tender age of eighteen. Just my own interpretation. I heard the hometown hero is touring with weezer right now. Bleeds in blue is also an amazing song.

this is by far one of the best songs i've heard for a while..too many songs now are just so "cookie-cutter" and there's nothing that defines them as a band any different from any other band..kudos to Hometown Hero for "eighteen" :)

good way to put it, i like this song, even though it is a rather "out of character" for me to like music like this.... i dont care, im not labeling myself to emo or something, i just listen to whatever sounds good to me and this is good. love it.
