| It is obvious this song is about GOD, specifically Jesus. Just think of that South Park episode when Cartman replaces the word "baby" with "jesus". He could easily use this song to sing about Jesus. | |

| Personally, I think this song is about a past love interest that he made a lot of mistakes with. One of those "don't know what you got 'till its gone" things. The best part is that he isn't trying to get back or get her to like him, he knows he made a big mistake, but he just wants to let her know before he leaves that she is the reason for his change. | |
