Doug is quite tasty. You can't overlook that fact. How about this song being about searching for the truth but being blind to any other answers. Yes, sometimes they sound like Incubus, the same can be said for Adema sounding like Korn. But it doesn't stop us liking them. Rebecca like Dan though, she has no taste

Kade and Michael Bray... When he's saying he'll sacrifice everything... he doesn't mean he's going to kill himself to find out how you die, only more like, he would give everything to find out how it all ends, etc... Otherwise the song is just about the uncertainty of life... What we should do with our lives, how they end, etc...

good song, lead singer's kinda cute, yes JulieMarlene, they do sound a lot like Incubus, but that's a good thing. maybe a one-hit-wonder though.

it's about the meaning of life-what directions should we take-why we're here-we're all crawling in the dark trying to find the answers. we all question if we're doing the right things-is the direction we're taking the right one. and also with the question of death-"how much furthur do i have to go"-how much longer will i live. "will the ending be, ever coming suddenly or will i ever get to see the ending to my story"-if anyone has ever lost a friend suddenly and tragicly, especially if they were young with a very promising future, this lyric holds a certain meaning-will i die suddenly or will i grow old and beable to live out my life (story)--is all this preparation and planning for my future in vain--should i torture myself now in order to have a promising future when there's a chance that i could die today. "show me what it's for, make me understand it"-what is this life for-let me understand the underlying meaning behind it all. is there something bigger than life, is there an afterlife-is there a heaven, hell, or a God. these questions haunt all of us, and i think this song just addresses the confusion and the unknowing of the future.

Thats spot on Kade. So many people write fuckin' stupid lyrics now a days. I hate it when people just say shit that they think sounds cool and deep, but if you actually think about what it means, it doesn't make any sense. You should apply for a job in some music criticing industry. Your comments are right to the point, and are a fair analysis to the song. I know a few people in the industry if you want to drop me a private message. They are looking to hire someone for a new TV show. Personally I thought the song was good. Its sounds great, but I have to agree with Kade's comments that the actual lyrics are stupid, even though Hoobastank manages to make it sound sweet.

This a good song, but I think it doesn't compare to the rest of the album. This is actually one of my least favorite songs by Hoobastank. And as a longtime fan of Incubus, I think some songs by Hoobastank reflect an influence by them, but some don't. Isn't all the music now just people building on someone else's ideas anyway??
