| This is a personal song for me, it reminds me of a friend who helped me in a time when I was feeling depressed, she'd always give up time to be with me if I was feeling bad, just to sit and talk and understand. And she'd always make me feel better, she'd make everything and everyone, all my problems 'disappear'. To me it's not necessarily a romantic song, but a song about someone special who is always there for you. | |

| Usually, I don't judge a group by one song, but Hoobastank has totally earned my respect from this song. Mostly because it doesn't make me feel crazy with how I feel. My boyfriend is my life. I love him to death, and lately, whenever I'm without him, I feel so lonely, so empty. I wait for the moment to be standing next to him once again, and to be holding him. Sometimes it gets to be so intensily painful. I just revisited this song tonight, and I realized how much I relate to this. | |

Like, I mean, its good and nice to miss someone but not to the point that when youre with them that your reality disapeers. btw, I think i spelled dependencie wrong... who cares. :P | |

| As I've read, we all have some different meanings to this, but this is how i see it. I think the "pain" he talks about is just a metaphor, there isnt a real pain, just that when "that person" leaves, he feels lonely. When hes with that person, they are the only one he sees, and he wants them to be with him so they are all he sees. This is a big thing in my life right now. My girlfriend means the world to me. Without her i feel clustered with life and all my responsibilities, but with her, everything and everyone disappears. Just yesterday i felt like that with her, and I cant wait to leave the world behind again some time soon. 1 | |

| this is definitely one of the band's greatest songs in their 'the reason' album.it is one of my faves. generally.it just explains this guy/girl perhaps,from a heartbreak("there's a pain that sleeps inside")and this girl/guy that makes him forget about all the anxieties of life and thus shows how this girl stands out/her uniqueness. well.it is one good old fashioned love song for me. | |
