| its about teenagers and wasting their lives on trying to look like and be like the people they see in magazines (trying to find the polarized version of their obsession) to where the point where they make themselves sick and sometimes die from things like balemia and shit like that and a more sensible person sees this and laughs are their stupid obsession (i thought i caught you breathing it was just the sound of me laughing) modern day eves locked arm in arm with cosmo queens turning heads then their backs ^they refer to Eve as in the bible who betrayed god and her beliefs and teenage girls do that and turn their backs on their beliefs to be more like the "cosmo queens" someone called your shot just from the other side the self made rival you are ^talking from some one looking at these people at these people killing themselves and destroying themselves this is how to escape the horizon, curled up and frozen still its the tilt of the hour glass and we're slowly thinking, waiting, and waking ^slowly people like this begain to realize life is short and they realize the meaningness of things such as looking as beautiful as models in magazines and they "wake" to find their old beliefs again not sure if thats right but thats just how i see it 1 | |

| This song reminds me of the JFK shooting for some reason. It could be better.. "someone called your shot just from the other side" Wasn't someone suppose to shot from the grassy knoll? "i thought i caught you breathing it was just the sound of me laughing" Someone shot the guy that shot JFK. "trying to find the polarized version of their obsession" People get obsessed over it and try to find a picture of the other shooter. | |

| it seems to me that this song is about a friend turning their back on him for a stupid reason, possibly accusing him of something wrong, and he doesn't care because its not worth it. Maybe not, but that seems to be the motif in my life. | |
