| "limbo" is supposely a stage before hell that is stagnant and unchanging. Definetly a dark song with a very positve feel and message. any day above ground is a good day | |

| Not really deadens his emtions. But seems like hes become too attached to his lover was as in this line: "you don't need to latch on to anything. you'll just end up back here and the other line: "don't think about your lover you're already steady shaking." What exactly is a limbo scene?? | |

| The amazing thing is that they sound better live than on Albumn. I always thought that song was about the future and uncertainty, but at the same time not being totally content with the present. "an empty fate just means an even score" seemed to be that no one knows whats gonna happen and its the same for everyone. | |

| Did nobody notice that this song is about dealing with life issues while being on antidepressants? The singer, I think, went to a therapist and was perscribed paxil or wellbutrin or something, and even though taking it helps him deal with it, it deadens his emotions entirely. clutching to a limbo scene you're never changing anything you just stop the shaking and it's constantly repeated t | |

| AWESOME song. i didnt think of it being about antidepressants till now... and now its like kind of obvious. I think when he says "an empty fate just means an even score" hes saying that the anti-depressants make him feel like nothing, so theres no good and no bad, an even score. Oh and isnt the first line "you'll get it right ""sometime man."" or sumthing like that? | |

| i truly love this song, as i love the whole new record. "I hate this place but I love these chords", this line itself is so great. anyway, there's something i don't understand - probably because i'm from germany - and that is: what does JAMESON mean??? is it a place, a person, a band, or what? i really hope you can help me out because it sucks to quote and sing along with words you don't understand. | |

| This song is about dealing with a dead relationship with drugs. Trying to let go, but just cannot and the drugs are mellowing out the pain. I think that, "An empty fate just means an even score." means something in more of a personal war sense. Lulling on the love, and not moving on is the empty fate. So in respects to a fight, the score is even, you've lost. | |

| "An empty fate just means an even score" might be saying something about, if nothing happens in my life, that makes up for all the stuff I did before. Like if your mom says "You can't go to that party because you hurt your little brother." I dunno, that's my opinion. | |
