Vers (x2)
After this it's a part that i'm not so sure of if the guitar is playing. it's a guitar
it's doing some palm muted picking on string 3 and 4. Improvise on that!
Chorus (x6)
then it's a new slow part no guitar i think, but you can do some palm muted picking on
3 and 4 again.
Chorus(x4)
And then play the Intro.
That's it! Not so hard?

| Hurt's songs are mainly about bad relationships, this one is about not "rising above" or not being the better person and just letting little stuff turn into a big argument. "I see the car that your mom keeps sending" means his girl's mom. He still loves her, more than anything, but they just fight too much is what i think this song is about. 1 | |

| i think this song is about child abuse the part when he says"I see the car that your mom keeps sending, when I breathe it feels just like my life is ending." i think is like DCFS car or something and "no safe place for me to hide" hes saying he can't hide from his abuser ,just my idea on the song | |

| the lyrics are nothing special... though the part where he just streams ("and it seems just like the way it goes....") actually does appeal to me a bit. it's one of those songs where bits and pieces of the lyrics, combined with the music, each hit you in different ways. for me it's not a song so much as a collection of sensations. oh, and check out "the prince is too tired" on youtube; so-so vid for a so-so song but, combined, they're surprisingly kickass. | |
