Hey I watched the 1992 remake of Dracula and the monster Dracula growled something at the characters in the middle of the movie and it sounds exactly like thew growling at the beginning of Burnt Offerings before the guitars kicked in. I dont know what Dracula said though.

Wow. I also hear "fuck with us and die", now I'm actually pretty sure that's what the lyrics are. It sounds too much like it to be something else. 1

I think this song really shows the horrible state of mind Jon was in when the band was writing/recording "Burnt Offerings." No wonder this is his least favorite record.

the official lyrics after "a warning from the sky" are "of the lust and lies"....when i listen to it i hear "fuck with us and die". This or 1776 has to be my favorite song by Iced Earth
