| this song gives me hope of humanity one day comming to an understanding that we are pushing our existance to a grand test that we may never recover from. Great song, not just because of the kickass solo but also the emotion that gets across to the listener. Assuming the listener is listening lol. This song by far stands out to me the most on this particular album. last year in 11th grade we had an assignment to present a song to the class and i chose Consequences, unfortunatly nobody cared or listened closely, only my teacher, she said it was a beautiful song :) which made it worth it. nearing in 2007 and all thats on the news is hate and war and dumbass shows that require people to turn off their brains, lets hope for a better year 1 | |

| This song expresses our country's view of the world. We rape, pillage, enslave, and wipe out an entire race of people so that we can prosper. If we just stop justifying these wars, for religion, race, rocks, land, whatever it may be, we can change this world. It's called "Consequences" because, in the first verse, it says that "our world crumbles, it's happening within. Genocide and the chains that bind, the consequence ahead." And, as September 11, 2001 showed us, the consequences for our misuse and abuse of people finally caught up with us. And now we're all on the verge of a third world war, with possibly no victors this time. Our world is definitely crumbling, but "we can change the world that we're living in. Live and let live true freedom, let the reign begin." | |
