	this is one of the best songs iced earth made.. and, it's really a good one.. it's about how the girl he loves soo bad is in love with his best friend.. and he can't do anything coz he loves them both.. and, well, it's an obvious song, but a beautiful one...

	may i just add, dont follow I_LIKE_BEANS advise, if you dont want spawn and such ruined then dont watch the film, it's the embodiment of shit, simple enough but important, watch the animated series or get the comics, both are fantastic

	I disagree partly Suicide. While its important to find an emotional connection with the song, it is even more valuable to understand what the song is about. To me, the meaning of a song helps me connect to it better than making guesses. Some songs from Iced Earth are easy enough to figure out (Horror show album). But if your a true fan of the music, you would take to heart the influences that went into writing it.

	Songs in general and Iced Earth songs in particular can evoke quite strong emotions. I Died For You has a haunting melody and extremely sad lyrics. If you're in an emotional state, it's quite possible to cry over this song. Anyway... 1

	This is about Al Simmons, a comic-book character Todd McFarlane created, otherwise known as Spawn. Spawn is killed by his own employer, and makes a deal with the devil (Malbolgia) to serve as the general of his armies if he is able to go back to his wife. "For love i sold my soul", "My souls the price to see her." He looses his memory, but knows what he's there to do. He wants to see his wife, Wanda. He does find her, but finds out that she's in love, and has a child, with his former best friend, Terry. "She's happy and in love, in love with my best friend." This song is from the album called "Dark Saga", check it out at www.icedearth.com It has lyrics there also, as well as information on the album, which is made about Spawn. Hope that helped.

	This song is about spawn. the entire Dark Saga CD was dedicated to Spawn. But though everyone takes songs in their own way.. just because a song was intended to mean something else, doesn't mean it wasnt made to not relate to anyone else out there.
