"In Extremo" (Latin:"in the end" or "in the extreme") is a German folk metal band originating from Berlin. Their music combines metal with medieval traditional handcrafted instruments. Their songs are "covers" of various traditional/medieval ballads and heavy metal songs combined with bag pipe, harp, horn and flute. They also feature many songs that they wrote themselves. They are known for using a wide variety of different languages as well, including icelandic and latin.
