| I don't really know the meanings of each individual song on 'the Jester Race' but the general theme of the album is that of human arrogance, failure and weakness. Humans in the album are actually referred to as jesters who corrupt and destroy the 'all-mother' (mother earth) and my God that must be some of the most jaw droppingly awesome guitar playing that exists. | |

| "Stood there carving on the monument to lies digging of the earth, making friends with the soil as the all-mother rises and bares her bleeding thighs he disappears into her cold, icy womb " Wow...so i guess.. "he" represents mankind. "He" is making friends with the soil by constantly making war, destroying the world around him, and the massive numbers of dead returning to the soil, as in "he" is more familiar with death than with living life. The all-mother is ofcourse the earth, that has been around for some 4 billion years, man only being around for an extremely small fraction of that 4 billion years. "The all-mother rises and bares her bleeding thies", meaning that she(the earth) has given birth to man. Just as soon as she gives birth to man, "he disappears into her cold, icy womb", meaning that in the very small amount of time man has been on earth, he manages to DESTROY himself and "he" returns to earths cold icy womb/is buried in the ground. Thats what the end of the song seems to mean, and if so, then the rest of the song has to relate to it in some way or another, or maybe I'm way off. | |

| Awesome song, music is awesome and the lyrics are awesome.. But hte meaning? After all only author can really know, but my guess would be that this song tells about someone, whose missing something and this missing thing makes him/her mad and he/she is trying to compensate this missing thing with things that are lie.. | |

| The more I listen to TJR the more I think it's just an analogy for how messed up our world is today (same with Whoracle and Colony). This song is about someone observing the downfall of our planet and how we've mistreated it (earth-mother has bleeding thighs, etc.) And holy crap, that is some awesome guitar playing. | |

| @RagingLunatix: very well put (in the very small amount of time man has been on earth, he manages to DESTROY himself) also i think the sick perversity thing points even more towards him being mankind, or viceversa, ie the dark and evil attributes describing man... | |
