	I think i have this 1 sussed... The whole song is being spoken from the point of view of some sort of genetic test experiment, hence the "absence of light", having a "genetic superior cell". "the fathomless and unbearable" are the immoral scientists who charge ahead without thought of the ethics of their actions. This cyborg creature that narrates the song is the "radical new form of plastic and rage, biologically optimized..." "in your world, you find me worthy, in my world, i parachute my life" Refers to the human race having respect for this monster out of fear, but the creature would rather "parachute" its life - or kill itself - than have to keep living in agony. the "virtual drugstore" could be the array of drugs and chemicals that they pump into the cyborg thing. The "machine meat and blood" verse pretty much sums it up, describes the creature, while "when we can no longer cry and reality is torn..." etc. describes the aftermath of when these genetically modified things get thier revenge, and kill everyone (we can no longer cry) and the "responsibility lies on us all" because the human race created them. Sound feasible?

	Although it's true that all In Flames' songs are very deep, they don't always start out like that. In many of their songs, they're just trying to tell a story, and if possible, they input some moral lesson or metaphor or something in it. I think this song is primarily a sci-fi tale of technology gone wrong, and secondarily a warning to us all that this might happen, and a also a criticism of eugenics, respirators, desensitisation, etc; Basically anders wants to tell us to remain human!

	this is one of my favourite In Flames song, the guitar solo near the end is spine chilling. i love it! it gives you the feeling all music should.
