This is my first real tab. This ain’t correct, it’s just what i think/guess it is. It’s
atleast better than nothing. The number of strokes in every riff is wrong. Just listen
to the song and you’ll figure it out yourself. I’ve tabbed it in standard tuning. I’m
not sure that’s correct but I’m to lazy to tune my guitar down. Have a nice day.

| im not suffering from a head injury thank you very much... this song is just not what in flames is capable of. they are going nu-metal, and im so fed up with incredible bands that end up turning to shit.. this band reminds me of what metallica did with st. anger. crappy quality, non-talented, meaningless, watered down NU-METAL. u guys should be ashamed of yourself. | |

| so exactly what music do u think i listen to? this is juddc3891 by the way. my favorite groups are poison the well, killswitch engage, soilwork, between the buried and me, opeth, sonata arctica, underoath..... nu-metal? where are u getting that? i listen to linkin park and evanescence also, but im not going to base the genre of music i listen to on the few less talented bands i listen to... but i am a drummer.. and my brother is a guitarist. we are both pretty good.. my brother is incredible. so i know talent, and i know how it hard it is to play certain things... so the word 'talentless' is not an opinion, its a fact, cuz i know about the instrument i play. this song does not even come close to other in flames material, and theyre lyrics have no where near the meaning that older in flames songs have. its painfully obvious that they want to reduce themselves to this.. but they can all do so much better on their music. so pretty much what i expressed is not an opinion as much as the truth that probably the members of the band feel too... they just for some odd reason want it this way.... so what does this song mean to me? it means that in flames is going so downhill that they are attracting fans that actually say that this is good music... especially for the band it is. | |

| I couldn't help but notice the discussion about In Flames taking a new direction for their sound, and I wanted to try and ignore it, but to no avail. So I guess its time for another fucking rant about this band taking a new direction. Now, if you actually think that In Flames have been going through an "evolution", then you're missing something. I don't really believe that "EVOLUTION IN BAND'S MUSIC= GOOD CUZ THE BAND NO BE LIKE AC/DC." That's bullshit, especially in In Flames' case. Just because a band sticks to their core sound, doesn't make them repetitive. The way I see it, a band's sound will only get repetitive and boring to those who really aren't fans to begin with (I mean, what I would like to know is what fan of In Flames would get bored of hearing songs like "Zombie Inc", "Episode 666", "The Jester Race", etc.?). Yet there is no problem with a band experimenting and incorporating new things into their core sound, either. The trouble with IF's "evolution" is that it seems as if they're actually trying to change themselves and their sound, literally. Now, I think its ok if a band wants to experiment with some other sounds, but only if they're willing to incorporate it in their original sound and truly improve themselves, as opposed to actually trying to change themselves. Clayman showed that promise. Reroute to Remain was a little wary, but still showed promise. Now we have come down to STYE, and uh... I think something is wrong here. So what am I saying? That I think this band is beginning to destroy themselves by wanting to forget their "past", and "move on". I mean, go ahead and experiment all you want. There's nothing wrong with that at all, some bands will want to do that at some point in their lives, and that's ok. But you should never forget who you are, or where you came from. Unfortunately, I think that's what the band is starting to do. Of course, I'm just a fan who loves this band, so what do I know? P.S. Keep in mind that I still liked STYE, despite the obvious things I have pointed out. "Dial 595-Escape" showed some hope for the band. But that hope is starting to fade away more and more, everytime they release an album. Its sad. But what am I going to do? Oh yeah, I give this song 5/10 overall. It's not as bad as most metal fans make it out to be, but obviously shows what the band is unfortunately doing to themselves. The lyrics are still pretty good. At least the band isn't beginning to lose their lyrical ways. | |

| I say ditto Samurai Sword...STYE is as far as it goes...if it sounds any more distant than that, I probably won't buy it. The first song I heard by them was Cloud Connected, but I agree with the loyal fans; their old songs were what made them great. In an interview they did they said they wanted to be able to have one guitar in each speaker instead of overdubbing because they want to be able to play each of their songs live without having to skip anything, hence the lack of solos. However, this tactic sort of does make them sound like nu-metal, at least when compared to December Flower, which by the way has one of the best solos I've ever heard. 1 2 3 4 5 Next | |

| Well, we gotta really realized that if In Flames just released another "Whoracle" or another "Lunar Strain" that the fans themselves will be bored with the band. Change and experimenation is good for it shows a sort of musical growth and change in creative patterns. Do I like the new style, not really. Will I burn all of my band shirts, destroy thier cds, or be launched into a flame way rivaled by any premature teenager that I have ever known... no. Metallica changed, and look what happened there. They lost one fan base in exchange for a new one. The lyrical content is still there. A singer with a psychological troubled mind with angst towards outer world conformity still frontline this band. Now, if In Flames with start producing teenage drama bullshit the likes of the other whinny teenage bands, then I might reconsider the boycott comment, but before that , In Flames is still one of the best gothenburg sound outthere. Now, the song: We all had those times where everybody was out to get us, whether that be a jerk bothering you, or your parents belittling you again for some things that you did or do. You get piled on with all this shit, this ridicule, being made fun of, and being told what to and not to do "...and then I close my eyes" Then next thing you know, you are at this state of nirvana, being a "king in my own mind". He tells us that whenever some shit comes to him, or to us, that we just got to go back to that "quiet place". I guess this song is all about how he, or most people escape thier problems by just shutting the world out. Yet, he also infers that this is usually not the best option. Like the part where he sings about the part were "All the bridges fall to the ground". I guess he is trying to say that you can matters worse if you try to act king in your own little palace while trying to ask the world to leave you alone. I guess that's why the other band members where acting as mentally disturbed patience in the music video. | |
