wow... incubus have joined me musicually through a lot of emotional stages in my life... small and insignifigant to anyone else as they are, i'll allways remember them.. or try too.. and this song is really beautiful and relaxing... even if it seems as if im going nowhere really fucking fast..

To me, this song is about the apathy in all of America. How people know exactly where they want to go yet they never seem to take any steps further.

I think it's just about how he gets into ruts sometimes, and doesn't know where life is taking him... and it seems like, to him, "if I ever get to where I'm going, would I even care? I would". He want to find direction, but can't really.

i agree with what everyone says there... and its all about making the right decisions... you may not know that they are right or wrong until they have been made, and when he says "the directions for me are a lot less in demand" i think hes saying that maybe he has made some decisions that didnt end up the way that they were planned to, but things like that you have to be able to get up and get past and learn from them. if you ever get the chance to see incubus in concert i suggest it very highly... they are even better in concert than they are on their cds...

It isn't just America, allislost. The problem seems to me to be on a slightly grander scale.
