| Ha, I live in the bottom of LA too, juliegray, what parish? This album is too metaphorical, I think, for it just to be about a girl from the South who he wants. I agree it's about a girl, yes. But southern most likely represents something deeper than hometown. | |

| I really like the first line of the song "Is everything a baited hook?". It seems like it is representative of those situations where love is a 'bait' that can draw you into foolish situations that end painfully; and love always comes with that fear, which leads us to put "locks on all our doors". True love is of course the most beautiful thing this world has to offer, but the road leading to it has its pitfalls and meanders considerably. I think this song is about that yearning you feel when you badly want someone, and the wishful thinking and daydreams that accompany it. Yet another Incubus song that could easily play on the soundtrack of my life... lol | |

| This song is about how a lot of things and people are generalized and closed off (Is everything a baited hook? And are there locks on all doors?). And finding someone who wants the same things: someone to open up to, to go crazy with (animals, swinging from tree to tree, set you free, etc) It's about finding out that this person is exactly what you've been looking for and hoping to try them out and find out if they could want you too. It's an awesome song. I could listen to it over and over for hours* | |

| Lovely song....boyd is eloquence itself. BUT......what exception is he talking about here? ("you're an exception to the rule") All we know about her (from the song), is that she's southern. And he really digs her - HENCE, being southern is NOT something he digs. So all you Southern goyls out there - Boyd dont like ya'll none!!! out | |

| O man...another sex song by incubus. just look incubus up in the dictionary and it says it all. This song lyrically to me was very similar to here in my room. Both beautifully about sex. The "we'll try eachother on to see if we fit..." cmon now...theyre not just talking about hands. True incubus style...i love it | |

| these are the thoughts that pop into your head when you are attracted so someone, whom you think is so wonderful and special. (a bonafide rarity). when you feel that way about someone, you begin to wonder if they feel the same way about you. this song to me is about the beginnings of a crush... (so come outside and walk with me we'll try ea other on to see if we fit)... wanting the opportunity to try ea. other out. its a beatiful song. | |
