The Innocence Mission is a four-piece band based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The band consists of Karen Peris ( Vocals - Guitar), Don Peris ( Guitars - Vocals), Mike Bitts ( Bass), and Steve Brown ( Drums). The band was formed when the members met during a Catholic school production of Godspell. They became more well-known when one of their songs, the Mazzy Star-esque "Bright as Yellow", was used in the soundtrack for the movie, Empire Records. They prefer not to tour large venues opting to play small clubs.
