| I believe the just of it is: Ignore people who claim to predict when the world ends. When it does: If you die, die trying. (Die with your boots on.) If you try hard enough, you might just survive 'till Earth 2.0 (If you're gonna try, stick around!) If all you're gonna do is sit and mourn the old world, you're just gonna die with your boots off. (Gonna cry? Just move along!) 'Cause if you're gonna die, you're gonna die. May as well die trying, 'eh? | |

| Die fighting. yes, reminds me of the battle of the alamo... I also read on some uk phrases website that said the phrase most likely originated in the west, saying if you died of old age or sickness you were in your bed in sheets with no shoes and all that and if you died with your boots on you went out in a gunfight or something. Badass. the song is awesome too. | |

| Oh right, I see it's one of the lyrics. Sorry, I thought you were just randomly quoting things. Ha, sorry about that. Right then. After making a fool of myself, I'm gonna go. | |

| This song is about instead of just siting there thinking "were all gonna die!" Do something! It kinda reminds be about Virgina Tech. This teacher died saving his students. Or the people who baricaded the door while the gunman was in the halls. I think it used boots because it says "Another Prophet of Disaster Who says the ship is lost" So the people who were doing something went on deck with boots to steer the ship to safety or something like that. 1 | |

| the term "to die with your boots on" is actually a real old southern phrase that means to go down fighting or don't give up with out a fight.I don't know if it means the same thing in England though lol | |
