LEAD UNDER "Running Low" etc.
These first two bars are repeated over and over on the album
version. I've gone on to show roughly how it's played live
The first trill allows Dave to get the pick out of his teeth!

RIFF A: with RHYTHM 1

RHYTHM 1:
This is doubled by the bass. It is the rhythm that is used for
the verses later on in the song aswell.

RIFF B:
This is the riff between 'Running Low' and 'When the priest..'
As I suspected I was playing this wrong-sheer laziness!
This should be a lot closer to the proper way. The hammers
and pulls may or may not be the actual way its played but if
you want to play it as fast as its played live it's
definitely the easiest way. Just listen carefully for the timing.

Bass plays Rhythm 1.

I'm sorry not to start with anyone but Iron Maiden's singer Bruce Dickenson is one of the best vocalists to ever live he's pushin his age and his voice is still as powerful today as it was during Number of the Beast and the creation of this magnificance!!!

You know, there's this song that I've been listening to for the last 2 1/2 years, and it sounds like Iron Maiden, but since Manowar sounds like Maiden...without the guitar harmonies, I'm wondering if its a Manowar song, or a Maiden song...any metalheads out there care to clue me in... "Time to go/Back where I belong/No one can prevent me/From raising towers at Babylon/Time to go/Back where I belong/No one can accuse me/?/BAB-Y-LOOOOOOON!" Thats the best I can do, cos the lyrics are very rough, as is the rest of the recording, so...have at it...

Eerie and totally effective when thinking of the man's plight. I'm thinking a 17th century prison...maybe a man wrongfully convicted...like a male witch during the Salem Witch trials. Kick ass tune, lyrics, bass, guitars and of course, Clive Burr's drumming.

Have any of you people heard Iced Earth's cover of this song? It's the same except that it is Matt Barlow that sing, and his voice sounds alot better, and the voice actually does alot for this song, believe me. If IM had, had such good vocals in this song this would probably have been my favorit IM song. Well, anyway Children of the damned is still my favorit!
