| The Wicker Man is a man made of wicker. The British Druids used to put men and women in there as a sacrifice before the Romans arrived. They made a Christopher Lee film about a man who finds out a cult still practice this, and is eventually sacrificed himself. The song is about that whole thing, i think. | The title is obviously inspired by the cult movie The Wicker Man. I say this because that is how Iron Maiden chooses to write their songs. However, this song seems to have little to do with that movie at all. Everyone should see this movie and make up their own mind. About a lot of things. | |

| I'm not sure about the meaning, but after reading the comments about the movie The Wicker Man being about people being sacrificed, I thought maybe the line "Your time will come" has something to do with it... anyway, it's a great song! Definitely one of my Maiden favorites. | |
