James Sit Down Chords Guitar Tab

A James tab by Jack Anderton
E
I sing myself to sleep
A B
A song from the darkest hour
E
Secrets I can't keep
A B
Inside of the day
E
I swing from high to deep
A B
Extremes of sweet and sour
E
Hope that God exists
A B
I hope I pray
E
Drawn by the under tow
A B
My life is outa' control
E A B
I believe this wave will bear my weight so let it flow
E
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
A B
Sit down next to me
E A B
Sit down down down down down in sympathy
Now I relieved to hear
That you've been to some far out places
It's hard to carry on
When you feel all alone
The wisdom that I seek
Has been found in the strangest places
Feels a lot like love
That I feel for you
Now I've swung back down again
And it's worse than it was before
If I hadn't seen such riches
I could live with being poor
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down down down down down in sympathy
Those who feel a breath of saddness
Sit down next to me
Those who find they're touched by maddness
Sit down next to me
Those who find themselves rediculus
In love in fear in hate in tears
In love in fear in hate in tears
In love in fear in hate in tears
In love in fear in hate
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down down in sympathy.
Keep repeating the same E,A,B pattern.
If you are pedantic the chords you are looking for are more along the lines of E,A5,Bsus2
but it makes little difference.

I can accept it's about drugs and depression. I just like to see the love aspect as I relate to it in the song

nothin 2 do with the meaning of the song but i was at the Nou Camp wen an Utd won the European Cup in 99 n this song was played, all the players wer sat at the edge of the pitch and swayed along with the crowd 2 this song, even tho the meanin of the song probly duznt fit the context it was such a powerful feeling in the celebrations. the only connection i can think of is that James r a manchester band but for some reason it just seemed 2 fit the occasion somehow

This song is about drugs and depression - thats what they said in an interview. Its someone rich who has spent all money on high-class drugs, lost it all and is spiralling down out of control taking so meone with him. As Morrissey put it (and a strong champion for James when they made it big in the 1980s) there is no debata - no debate.
