	It's "Should I flee or fight", not feel fright :) The rawness of the song and the breathlessness of it (made 2 words up there, I think) are absolutely touching.

	This song reminds me I have people that will be there for me and vice versa. But some how still brings a tear to my eye. Its ulimately about friendship especially very close ones. Just being through everything together and still remaining friends. The bit about fear shows the people are very close as they recognise fear in each other which usually only comes out when people are completely trusted and secure with each other as its seen as a weakness, Especially in guys. But the faith bit is in each other. So allows them to over come the fearfull situation. 1 2 Next

	"Lie here on the floor and cry on my shoulder, I'm a friend"....... To me the meaning of this song is needing someone to talk to, and I`ll always be there to support someone you love through any troubles they have. (All we need is a soul mate and I think I`ve found one xxx ) One of my favourite songs ever written and touches my heart everytime I hear it.

	I agree with that! I think you're right it's about when someone you really care about are hurt and it's just about putting your arm around them and saying "Look you're my best mate, we've gone through every emotion possible together and I'm here for you!"

	I think that that "Lived to see a lover's final breath." could relate to the song Goodbye my lover, who might be about someone he loved who died giving birth.

	This song reminds me of when u care for someone a lot and theres other people doing stuff to hurt them. It's like saying to them I'm here for you, you can tell me its alright. Its just what the song means to me. I luv this song though. The album is amazing!

	I just think James Blunt is one of the best composers today, his songs are awesome. This one is very self explainatory I think, it's about friendship and how you can always count on someone who you really love and this one person can also count on you. They have seen many things together and they always get through. Awesome song

	DEFINATELY one of my favorites.. the best line in the song is wen he says "And if you want to talk about it anymore, Lie here on the floor and cry on my shoulder, I'm a friend." his voice is so unique and passionate... This song makes ME cry, because it reminds me that i have nobody whose shoulder i could cry on. iv just recently given up the only person who ever meant anything to me. butt still, james blunt ROCKS! hes a brilliant writer and artist, and i cant wait for his next album!

	This song was played throught the background of my schools rememberance day service video, and it fit perfectly. The images flashing across the screen were sad enough, but add these lyrics to it, and you can imagine how much of a mess i was. You can relate to this song no matter what you are going though i think, and one of they key things i got out of it, is that you need a friend to help you get through the difficult times. You need someone who has gone through different experiences in life so they can show you different ways to look at things. All in all though, i love this song.

	I believe the line "lived to see a lover's final breathe" refers to a squadmate or someone of a similar capacity during his time in the military. This is not to say that James is gay or anything of that sort, but people in the military often find their soul-mates in times of war, forging relationships as strong as "lovers".

	Knowing James Blunt used to be a army officer, I can see that influence in nearly all his songs. "I have seen death. Lived to see a lover's final breath. Do you see my guilt? Should I feel fright?" To me, those lyrics refer to James questioning his life in the army. In my opinion, the person the song is being sung too is either a friend/lover left behind as he deploys abroad. And this lover/friend is questioning why he is going, and what he will be fighting for.

	I agree with all your comments [the good ones atleast..] Anyways, this song is touching. Beautiful too. I was listening to this song in a point of my life when I was lost and confused, just wondering where I stand in life. It was also a time when I was sad over a certain guy and I just wanted someone to spill every emotion I was feeling to. But no one was really there. Anyways, the line "Do you see the world through troubled eyes?" Really touched me, when I was going through that lost and confused point in my life. I remember I was so desperately confused and just crying so much, I just needed someone to talk to "And if you want to talk about it anymore, Lie here on the floor and cry on my shoulder, I'm a friend." Someone to fit that description, but no one was there.

	this is the most amazong james blunt song there is..i listen to it every day like 6 times.....to me it seems to be about 2 people who are very close and can depend on each other to cry out there problems...the other is always there if one wants to talk about soemthing..if you want to talk about it anymore my hat goes off to james for being such an amazing writer and singer

	it's al about friendship and/or being involved in a romance. one of my friends was having a troubled period, so i sent him an sms with the "cry" lyrics... he instantly called me and told me "thx, now i know i'm gonna be ok"... sometimes, we don't need to do much to help a friend... just to tell him/her "i'm here for you" :)

	this song is full of emotion and its such a touching song. I think that the song is being sung to a lover who he has left behind somewhere and is saying that if they ever need support then they can count on him to be there

	well. this song to me is just how you have best friend, and have gone through alot with them. and he's just saying that he trusts them, and they can trust him. and they can both lean on eachother in hard times. and 3lancer- the lyrics ARE "feel fright" but i can definitely see how you could think the other. and the other lyrics would make sense. i could be wrong. but in the cd booklet it said "should i feel fright?" and i listened very closely to the song and it's what i heard. anyway. this is a great song. so true and all around well written and gorgeous.

	i love the lyrics "i wouldnt cry for anything, but dont go tearing your life apart" they are just so hearfelt. i love all of james blunts songs and this, to me, is just as good as the others. such a great guy. xxx

	This song is soo special, to me it jus pulls out so many emotions, it seems to tug on so many strings at once. He is without a doubt a genious, i havent had music touch me the way his does ever. Amazing.

	I believe this is a song talking to God. or maybe Jesus. "I have seen peace. I have seen pain, Resting on the shoulders of your name." A lot of war is carried out "in Jesus' name" and this seems to me like James Blunt is trying to see things from His point of view. Its almost like he's really seeing Jesus as a human being needing a friend and since James feels like he can lean on Christ, he's letting Christ lean on him in a sense. He wouldn't even have to be Christian for these lyrics to be construed that way. and I agree with 3lancer: "flee or fight" are the correct lyrics there...
