Sleep All Day
(Jason Mraz)
raram damdam (...Jason sings gibberish here)
His after moan though cries oh no
He's building up a shine but he take it slow
And he knows it time to make a change here And time to get away
And he knows it's time for all the wrong reasons And time to end the pain
But he sleep all, sleep all day, sleep all, we sleep all day over again
Why don't we?
She said what would your mother think of all this how would your father react oh lord
Would he take it all back what they've done
The way they said take it, take it and he said make it with your own two hands
That was my old man and he said
if all is grounded you should go make a mountain out of it
oh what a lovely day to have a slice of humble pie
recalling of the while we used to drive and drive here and there
going nowhere but for us, nowhere but for the two of us
and we knew it was time to take a chance here
and time to compromise our lives just a little awhile
and it was time for all the wrong and, lonely lonesome reasons
but time is often on my side I'm gonna give it to you tonight
and we sleep all, sleep all day, sleep all, we sleep all day over again
as time goes by we get a little bit tired of waking and baked another Marlboro mile wide
it's sending the boys on the run in the time in hot summer sun
to swim beneath or over outside still they're reading between the lines
then they remember the part in the hallmark card where they read about the dreams
and reaching for the stars to hold on a little bit closer to
and they knew it was time, time to take and take love time to chance here
time to compromise our to occupy their lives
and it was time for all the wrong reasons
as time is often on my side and I give it to you, oh boy
and we sleep all, sleep all day, sleep all, we sleep all day over again
She said what would your mother think of all this how would your father react oh lord
Would he take it all back what they've done
the way he said take it, take it and don't break it with your own two hands
That was my old man and he said
if all is grounded you should go make a mountain out of it

| the CD/DVD of Tonight, Not Again is incredible!!! To me, this song means laying in bed all day long with the person you cant get enoug of. After waking up from a long night of hot sex, drunken festivities, or just a long week you never want to leave bed. Just kinda spoon with the loved one! | |

| Does anyone know of any albums Mraz has released other than Waiting For My Rocket To Come? I'm practically infatuated (so to speak) w/ the Mraz Master! | |

| One of my favorite's! But i have to point out a correction for the lyrics, it's actually my favorite part: "what would your mother think OF ALL THIS, and how would your father react? oh lord would THEY take it all back, what they've done? THE WAY THEY said take it take it, and he said MAKE IT with your own two hands ...." it's an amazing part, but the meaning is TOTALLY different with different lyrics... she's telling him to think of his parents, they pushed him out into the world hoping he would do something great, and now that he's doing nothing all day would they be dissapointed in him? would they take back the choices they made for him? | |

| live at java joe's was the best purchase i have ever made in my entire life. soon to be topped by live from the eagle's ballroom- tonight, not again cd/DVD!!!! so now do we not only get to LISTEN to jason a-MRAZ-ing, but we get to WATCH him! perfect for me since the acoustic tour of the curbside prophets was the single most amazing experience ive ever had. a close second was when i discovered jason mraz. pity it wasnt sooner i couldve been one of those ppl all like "ohh i knew him when he WASNT famous".... oh well he rocks my world and always will. oh yeah good song too! my favorite part is where he goes "oh boy" its so cute! ahh he melts me | |

| He has a live album out, but those two are the only ones I know of. Also, try jasonmraz.com. They have all the latest news about him, and his journal entries too. He's too sweet.... | |

| I LOVE this song. Some of the lyrics here are totally wrong, but whatever. No one has said what they think it means. I think it is about a guy who came from a wealthy family/family with high expectations. He had everything and screwed up, but now he's starting on his own two feet. He obvi has a girl in his life too, and she's the one saying , "how would your father react, etc" If you look at the lyrics it says stuff about a slice of humble pie, building up with your own two hands (the lyrics on this site are wrong), the hallmark card about dreams. Basically he's building his shine little by little and for now he's chillaxing-sleep all day. 1 | |

| Freshman year college. This song was always on the radio, in the car, we would always sing it like we meant it, everyone would turn to me and tell me everytime it was playing, hey, it's your song - I'm what got my friends loving it. It's only been a few months, but I don't think we remember how to sleep all day anymore. | |

| he explained at one of the first shows i went to that he wrote this song to a very close friend who was coming out of the closet. that, and just about doing what you have to do and being proud of yourself, is what it means to me. definitely one of my favorites. | |

| Jason also has some other old demos and EPs that are no longer available to purchase but are actively traded among fans. Some of them include "Sold Out (In Stereo)" - a 2002 live recording "From the Cutting Room Floor" - another live recording that was sold or given to fans by Jason at earlier shows "A Jason Mraz Demonstration" - 1999 demo "The E Minor EP in F" - recorded demo from 2000 or 2001, I believe and then there's "Live At Java Joes" which can still be purchased on his webiste and at concerts. check the trading forum at mramerized.com to learn how to trade or B&P with other fans to get these. | |

| I don't get it, but I like it. I think it's something about procrastinating, being lazy, and not getting a job while your parents/ girlfriend are trying to get you to...perhaps the life of a college student? | |

| Well, personally, I think it is about sex. And lots of it. Staying in with your significant other and wasting the day away (sort of) sleeping together, over and over again. | |
