The tabs for this tune seem a bit off on this site so I thought I'd try and tab the
seeing as it was so easy.
First tab, and it's just the intro:
e----------------------------------------------1--1-1-0---------------|
B-1h0---------1h0----------1--0--0-1-1/3--0-1-----------3--1-3/5------|
G----2h0-0h2------2h0-2/4---------------------------------------------|
D---------------------------------------------------------------------|
A---------------------------------------------------------------------|
E---------------------------------------------------------------------|
There's a lot more of it during the song but this is the bit that stands out; you guys
out the rest. If I get decent feedback I'll do the solo in between.

| Amazing. Parellel meanings are beutiful. Of course he is talking about the moon. And every line can be about the moon. But, i think he is talking about his love, and how wonderful she is in his eyes. By the way, I thought it was: "Intertwining like a ring around the finger" I love that line. This song's thought moves rapidly. It's very deep. 1 | |

| I'm pretty sure this one is actually about the moon. I know most of his songs are metaphorical but I have a feeling this one isn't; I wouldn't put writing a song about the moon past him at all. | |

| one of the greatest things about jason mraz and this song, in particular, are his amazing lyrics. whoever submitted these lyrics needs to please go to www.jasonmraz.com and get the real lyrics. i am disappointed that someone would do jason's music an injustice by posting inaccurate lyrics. ps- i love this song! and i love the post about waiting for my rocket being a day album and mr a-z being a night album! never thought of that before, but completely agree! | |

| you think it's about love? i think it's about a midnight romance, definitely, but bella luna, i believe is the moon. he wrote that other song on the other album about the sun, you're the brightest star and what not. i think this is just a juxtaposition. and balloona? it should be my beautiful, beautiful moon. how you swoon me like no other. | |

| ECk, i see these exact lyrics all over the web, so i don't completely blame the poster, but whoever originally posted these lyrics likes to make up words apparently. Anyway, this song is like a drug for me. It's simply to beautiful for words. It makes me want to ballroom dance. His lyrics are captivating and I agree with everyone when they say that he is using the moon as a metaphor to describe a women. "You are the queen and king combining everything intertwining like a ring around the finger of a girl I'm just a singer, you're the world" It's perfect. This is my all time favorite Jason Mraz song, no doubt about it. | |

| This is the most beautiful song by Jason Mraz. It reminds me of elevator music. But anyway, I think it is about a midnight love, whom he is comparing to the moon. The lunar beauty and what not. And whoever submitted the lyrics, listen to the song and no where will you hear balloona. | |

| "bella luna, i believe is the moon" well, obviously, but the moon has been tied to/representative of femininity since ancient times, so this song is basically an ode to the woman he loves. Such a beautiful, beautiful song. «You're dancing naked there for me [...] language of a lover» is my favourite bit, although it's "INTERTWINING like a ring...", not "into twining like a ring..." My favourite favourite Jason Song. :)) | |

| This song makes me feel like Mr. A-Z is a night album, while Waiting For My Rocket was a day album. It's just how it feels to me. I'd say that this song is about a woman. He's just comparing her to the moon. It's so beautiful. | |

| This isn't really anything about the meaning of the song, but I really like his diction. Especially the way he accents "please" as if he's begging on his knees. | |

| This song was indeed written about the moon itself. Yes, it has allusions to a woman but Mraz wrote it with help from his friend Bushwalla on vacation (they talk about during a Bushwalla show Mraz sat in on at Twiggs Green Room on 10/09/2006 ). Bush was sleeping and Mraz woke him up and told him to write a poem about the moon. He did, went back to sleep and Mraz took some of it and put the song together and put it over a guitar riff he'd been playing that night. | |
