INTRO
E - C#m - G#m - A - B
VERSE 1
E
I hear she's kicking ass across the board
C#m
And rocked two hundred thousand highest score
G#m
And just in time to save the world of being taken over
A B
She's a warrior
E
I couldn't play again because the game it never ended
C#m
Never even landed on the cannon
G#m
Never let me in to spend my quarter
A B F#m
There's no love for me no more
CHORUS
(F#m) Fx G#m
Oh say that it isn't so how she easily come
C#m F#m
How she easily go please don't tell her
Fx
That I've been meaning to miss her
E
Because I don't.
E - C#m - G#m - A - B
VERSE 2 (Same chords as in verse 1)
She was the girl with the broader shoulders
But she would die before I crawled over them
She is taller than I am.
She knew I wouldn't mind the view there
Or the altitude with a mouthful of air
She let me down the doubt came out
Until the now became later
CHORUS 2
F#m Fx G#m
Oh say that it isn't so how she easily come
C#m F#m
How she easily go please don't tell her
Fx
Cause she don't really need to know
MIDDLE EIGHT
E C#m G#m A B
That I'm crazy like the rest of us...
E C#m G#m A B
and I'm crazier when I'm next to her
E - C#m - G#m - A - B
VERSE 3 (Same chords as previous verses)
So why after the all of everything that came and went
I care enough to still be singing 'bout the bitter end
of broken eras, (I told you I don't, but)
I am only trying to be the best
with my attempt to curse the rest assured
I'll aim to ease the plural hurts of the words
reverse psychology,--- that's...
OUTRO/CHORUS
F#m Fx G#m C#m
Easier said. Easier than done
F#m Fx
Please don't dare to tell her what I've become
G#m C#m
Please don't mention of the attention I have drawn
F#m Fx
Please don't bother cause she'll feel guilty when I'm gone
E C#m G#m A B
Because I'm crazy like the rest of us
E C#m G#m A B
And then I'm crazier when I'm next to her
E C#m G#m A B
It's amazing how she's so self-assured
E C#m
But I know she'd hate me if she knew my words
G#m A B E
Do I hurt anymore? Do I hurt? well, I don't.
C#m G#m A B E
I don't I don't
This is my fave song of the Mr A-Z album
saw it wasn't tabbed and realised I could
play it.. I then realised I should write
it and submit lol.. Enjoy =)

| I think he's talking about how it's so second-nature to miss and yearn for someone after you end a relationship. Then after thinking about that person more and their bad traits, you come to the conclusion that you don't need him/her anymore. | |

| it sounds like he really doesnt miss her in the first verse. The way he sings it just sounds like he doesnt care until the line "there's no love for me no more." Then you get the feeling that he is just trying to cover up the fact that he does miss her because he doesnt want her to know he does. This is where he comes out with it: "so why after the all of everything that came and went I care enough to still be singing of the bitter end and broken eras i told you i don't but i am only trying to be the best with my intent To cure the rest is sure to lay me ease The plural hurts of the words of reverse psychology that's easier said easier than done" | |

| plainly i think that this song is about a girl who is not very attractive, tall, spends her time playing videogames, broad shoulders, etc. but he's sayin that he's crazy cuz he doesnt like her anymore cuz he's crazy like the rest of us and that he doesnt like her anymore cuz she is not very attractive, but he's also sayin that he's crazier when he's with her cuz she's actually a very nice person to be with but overall he still doesnt miss her anymore and he doesn't have feelings anymore cuz he's crazy like the rest of us who only like girls who are attractive... | |

| I thought the quarter part was his way of saying he never even got a chance with her. Fits in with the way he uses a video game to show how awesome he thinks she is. "And never let me in to spend my quarter" | |

| sounds a lot like my life... This song is mainly metaphorical, comparing love to a football game (or some similar sport). He says things like "she's kicking-ass across the board", "she's taller than I am", and "She was the girl with the broadest shoulders" symbolize she's like the star player and far more successful/wanted romantically than he is. He seems to refer to himself as the bench warmer. "I coldn't play again.......never let me in to spend my quarter" this is also about him not wanting people (especially her) to realize he's one of her countless fans. and also trying to convince himself, through reverse-psychology not to keep pining over her. It took me kindof a while to figure this out 'cause at first I thought, 'dang, she sounds hideous'. | |

| When talking about this song with some friends, one of them brought up that it may be about a video game. "And never let me in to spend my quarter"--makes it sound like putting a quarter into a video game machine. And also, on jasonmraz.com under 'song shirts' the shirt for this song looks like it may be a pinball machine. What do you think? | |

| another mistake, that I've been meaning to miss her, not i miss her. i think. I love this song, as a person who can make any song relate to my current position, just about. I interpret this song as the girl he loves has just left town, and shes doing well, in terms of love. "never let me in to spend my quarter" means that he never had a chance to be with her. And he is missing her, but doesnt want her to know because it might make her regret leaving. the description of her being taller and such is saying that she is too good for him. 1 | |

| It doesn't sound like he really misses her at all. It sounds like he's trying to let a bad relationship go. "Don't tell her I miss her, because I don't." He found her, was amazed by whatever skill she possessed, the relationship ended, and now he wants to let go. I think he's trying to be nice about it to her, so he has to say the slightly crueler things in a song (e.i. behind her back). Kind of makes me laugh. | |
