| I'm pretty sure it's literal. I saw somebody talking about seeing her at a JB show once, but "Boxcar" is just a nickname. Possibly a reference to Kerouac? 1 2 Next | |

| I dont see how anyone can say that they, 'Ripped off Green Day' on Dear You, because they have a completely different sound, but they did have the same producer, so the quality is kinda the same (I guess...) Heard the Ataris version, not near as good as the original, they made it too poppy, oh well, that's kinda their sound I guess. | |

| love this song for the fact that Kerouac is mentioned...and the way these lyrics kind of beat around the bush in saying that he's not what you think he is... | |

| by greeni on 01-05-2005 @ 11:33:16 AM awsome song but 'douglas' sung this song better than anyone! and has anyone noticed that green days new song shes a rebal has exactly the same riff. And yet, my friend said Jawbreaker ripped off Dookie when they made Dear You. I love this song. It embodies my perspective on punk, and it also mentions one of my all time favorite authors. I hate the Ataris, because now when I Boxcar's lyrics on a folder or in my info or whatever, someone always goes "Oh, I didn't know you liked the Ataris!" People who like the pop-punk/emo of today's music should at least acknowledge Jawbreaker's existence, seeing as how they practically sculpted that sound. | |

| Alright, the ataris are not as amazing as jawbreaker. How can you even compare Blake to Kris?? It's a sick world, kids. | |

| Yea, seriously. Blake takes the cake for some of the best lyrics. I can't think of one bad thing that Jawbreaker does. | |
