| this song is amazing. sounds like ghostface and ne-yo got the inspiration for "back like that" from this song, huh? haha jay-z is a genius i love him. better than nas by faaaaar. and um basically what the song is saying is that even tho jay did his girl wrong, he is sorry and that he doesnt think that his girl has any right to do him wrong. and she did do him wrong and so he's sad. since he's too man to cry, he's letting the song do it for him. :]] | |

| "aight y u gonna come on like u hard puttin down rap" It's this kind of thing that makes a lot of people lose respect for rap. Just to make some sense of what he's trying to say: "Alright, why do you have to into a rap forum and put down the music that many people love and respect? If it isn't your type of music, don't listen to it or comment on it." I listen to mostly rock, I play the guitar and bass, but i still have respect for talent. Jay-Z, good music. Don't put it down, that gives rock-listeners a bad name. | |

| I think this is really unusual for a male rapper to express his feelings like this. most rappers have too much pride to do somethin like this. I like how he says he cant see himself crying so he's gonna let thesong do it for him. That's a really cool concept. | |

| heathyr I agree with you that metal is better than rap, but you cant go out and put down rap in general. Dont you hate the people who dont give metal a chance? Same shit you gotta keep yourself open to every kind of music because really each type of music affects people in so many different ways, so if you really cant find a single thing that you like about rap music, then your no better than those wannabe thugs. | |
