i heard this song bout 3 years ago and haven't gotten it out of my head since.... this song, to me is about breaking up which is quite obvious, but it's also in a weird sense about the good sides of it "when you left, i didn't want you back" but then it comes to the 'don't know what you've got til it's gone' theme

This is possibly one of the greatest break up songs of all time. IMO the Jebs best ever song, probably top 5 Aussie Rock sogns of all time. Just beautiful lyrics. You can tell when a song has meaning because you can't describe how it makes you feel. This song does htat to me. This and Dry Your Eyes by the Streets the best two depressive.break up songs ever.
