| An innocent girl doing something she shouldn't be doing, and she's heard it's wrong before but never believed it cos it feels so good. The narrator knows that she's harming herself and he should help, but he doesn't want to end her new excitement cos he felt the same once and he feeds off of her feelings. When she begins to realize that there's something wrong, she tells him, but he pushes her the wrong way. Maybe it's drugs, maybe it's love, but then again both subjects fit into many songs. | |

| The video clearly says that "the thing she shouldn't be doing" is sex | |

| I don't agree that the girl in the song is such a victim. Innocent yes, but in this case it's her strength, not her weakness. "she's taking hold of her sins now for the first time well she's been told about sins now but it feels fine" She's not brainwashed by all the bullshit in culture that says that sex, particular premarital or extramarital sex (particularly if you're female) is bad or wrong in itself. "she's taking hold and I'm holding on" The girl is clearly in charge here. Also, the video shows strippers that _don't_ look like they're stripping for the first time, so they're obviously not meant to be the subject of the song. It should be remembered that videos are not always illustrative of the lyrics or meaning of a song; they're promotional tools shot by a director. 1 | |
