James Bender, I tried to e-mail this to you 2 or 3 days ago and am not
sure if it made it or not. If so, sorry for cluttering up your mail box.
If not, please post this on the netnews alt.guitar.tab.
This is my closest approx. to Mother Goose. The song is capoed on the
fifth fret as the tuning indicates, although the finger positions and what
chords are present are given as if the capo is position 0. The song's
strumming and picking style necesitated some liberalization on my part in
the tab. The intro (section 1) which is played at the beginning and/or end
of each verse is repeated 2 to 4 times depending upon the verse.

Saw at least a hundred school girls sobbing into handkercheifs as one.

I don't believe they knew I was a school boy.

Laughed down by the putting green I popped them in their holes.

Walked down by the bathing pond to try and catch some sun.

sobbing into handkercheifs as one.
I don't believe they knew I was a school boy.

| The song is about some street people that Ian meets as he walks through London. Like Aqualung or Cross-eyed Mary, these sad characters are a bit frightening, a bit amusing. | |

| Fine songs. But it is useless to try to find deeper meaning in there. It's just some funny nursery rhyme, automatic writing stuff. | |

| yeah... I missed them too when they came to argentina! =( This song makes no sense to me... it seems to be about a fair or circus, but it must also have another meaning... In any case, it has a lovely flute and a very happy, feel-good tune. I love it. | |

| Picadilly Circus is a place in London. It isn't an actual circus. | |
