| Obviously it's about love. Snickershell quote says something very much like sex. Not to mention that she says "boy" And if any of you actually LISTEN to Jewel, she describes love (between her and her lover) with this kind of passion all the time. A song like this does not go to God. | |

Tori amos has had a crush on Jesus since she was a little girl, and use to masturbate thinking about him. Yep. She admits it. Really. Totally. She loves Mary Magdalen, and she writes from her point of view, but she's always been into the sex w/the prince of peace thing.... back to the issue at hand. | Jewel is a very spiritual person, she isn't waiting for an actual person, shes expressing how much she needs the Lord and is giving her life to Him because she is not afraid anymore. It is apparant in the chorus, " I want you, I need you, be here with me, I have no fear". Also in the verses, she states that her life is nothing without him. | |

She is speaking of the place inside herself where she lets her defenses down and gives in to loving and being loved completely. It's a hard place to get to, for anyone who's been there.
