Its not bad... Good for her. Ive seen previous videos, and look like she is so damn sad, and depressed. Hey, give the girl credit, dont down her, because she made the transition from innocent, to hot.

I agree with y2kid77. The video is mocking the media. It shows how much we are bombarded with ads and sexual music videos. Even the song is sort of about it. (All the powers that rule this land They say Miss J's big butt is boss Kate Moss can't find a job In a world of post modern fad What was good now is bad) That basically says J.Lo's all over now-a-days, and Kate Moss was a fad. Just like all the other trends and fads, she just faded away. I think the chorus talks about having to be true to yourself and everything will probably turn out ok.

:( What happened to the old jewel who wrote songs that mattered.. not crap like britney spears? What happened to the accoustic??? I did give this cd a chance but after listening to some of the songs i just got disgusted and gave to my friends little sister.. Dont we already have enough slutty pop singers???

I'm more disappointed in her new image as opposed to the new sound of her music. Like we needed another artist using her body to sell music in an industry already consumed with sex.

I hate this song. I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan of Jewel's previous efforts. I'm saying it because I hate the sound. I suppose the lyrics are alright, but the age demographic which this song is aimed at... well, those kids aren't likely to really delve for any irony or satire and will instead just embrace her sudden change of heart and joining the ranks of Britney and Christina and all the other females who like taking their clothes off in pictures. Oh well. Maybe she'll surprise me and her next single will be better.

I have to say..Jewel also likes to act like a hot chick with her sexy moves, dresses and stuff (watch the 'Jupiter' video for instance). And look at the 0304 cover ( you could say that's a continuation of Intuition)!! I mean, she should! After all she is a beautiful girl but she kinda 'mocks' with herself too then! Not that I am against Jewel; on the contrary, I think she's amazing. But that's just the truth!

I cant believe this song!!! Jewel was one of my favorite singers because she was so different from all of that pop stuff. I just really really really hope it was like a spoof on pop music and our culture. i hope so.

I'm so very dissapointed. Her music used to be simply beautiful. Now someone with so much talent is lost in a sea of ordinary artists with ordinary ways of selling they're music. Its not for someone so unordinary, its not for her. Just so dissapointed.

Even if one accepts that this song is an attempt to satirize contemporary pop music, the result is that a good number of people will view Jewel as embracing the very things she is attempting to "mock." She has redefined her image with a new focus on sex appeal, and is using it to sell her music. She has been appearing in articles in magazines such as Maxim, etc. where she has made it very clear that she has no problem using her body to sell her music. If she is going to utilize sex via underwear photo shoots to further her career, then I feel the irony is lost concerning her supposed mocking of the presence of sex in the media. As I said above, I don’t have as much a problem with the shift in the sound of her music as I do with the new image she is promoting. Business is business I suppose, and sex sells.

I never did get people that got mad if an artist did something different and called it selling out. Jewel has more than one dimension to her like anyone, and she wanted to explore her sexual side a little more. There was nothing wrong with that, and if anyone should understand I would have thought Jewel's fans would understand that. By judging her or abandoning her for "selling out" is against all she had sung for previously. She had no reason to sell out is the thing, coming off of her previous album before 0304. She did this for personal reasons, and to experiment. Besides the music is still good it's just her image in the video people are getting after. Newsflash Jewel is a 27 year old female (when she made 0304 I think), they're sexual beings and no one should blame her for wanting to show a more sexual side.

I think this song is the most annoying thing ever. I hear it everywhere I go and each time it makes me want to kill myself.

*laughs* I'm not even really a Jewel fan, and I still like this song. ironic how her biggest fans are the ones giving her such a hard time for dabbling in a different style for whatever reason. 1 2 Next
