I've provided the lyrics just for the heck of it so, here they are:

Hey little sister, i heard you went to mr. so and so
knock, knock, knocking on his door again last night
said you needed it bad, you know that aint right.
'Cuz so many times you've come to me cry, crying
trying to stop you said it hurts so bad but please dont let you
go back for more
My little sister is a zombie in a body with no
soul a role she has learned to play in a world today where nothing else matters
but it matters
we've gotta start feeding our souls not our addictions or afflictions of pain
to avoid the same questions we must ask ourselves to get any answers

we've gotta start feeding our souls have been lost to the millions with lots
who feed on addictions selling pills and what's hot
and i wish i could save her from all their dellusions
all the confusion yay yay

of a nation that starves for salvation
but clothing is the closest approximation to God
and He only knows that drugs are all we know of love
...hee ee ee...hee ee ee eee yay ee yay ee yay ee yay eee...

Everyday we starve while we eat white bread and beer instead of a handshake or hug
we spill the pills and sweep them under the rug yay yay yay
my little sister is a zombie in a body with no soul
a role she has learned to play in a world today where nothing else matters
but it matters
we've gotta start feeding our souuuuu....ls yay yay yay..la da da da da di

Hey little sister, i heard you went to mr. so and so's
knock, knock, knocking on his door again last night said you..
..needed more.

this song is by far my favorite ever by her. i love her cause she gets to the truth. i like how she uses "little sister" to say this is happening to EVERYONE around us, even the ones i care about. its so simple. its straight out saying "hey, we need to fix the world!"

This song is very insightful in its description of what is wrong in our society... It's the song I'd like to have the courage to sing to one of my friends who is struggling with drugs

Ugh, all wrong. Kilcher herself said this song is actually about a boy she knew in Alaska that traded sexual favors for drugs. To a guy...

This song is really awesome and raw, and the way she sings it really gets to your soul. I like the "little sister" idea because it makes you think of innocence and youth and your little sister getting consumed in a sick society and drugs and such. Pretty sad.
