Jimmy Eat World
"23"

This is the last song on the new jimmy eat world album called "Futures"...
This song is absolutely amazing and beautiful, it's really a great song
to finish an album and I can't find any words to describe how beautiful
is this song, it starts so slow and it always grows until the last epic chorus!
I don't think this tab will be totally perfect, but at least is the more accurate
I could do it right now and you can use this tab also to write a better version.
Where I could, I put the 2nd guitar part and the solos and I hope you're gonna like it
and if you find it good rate my tab and watch the others I made... thanx a lot...

I'm just blew away by this song everytime I hear it. I also think this could be seen as letting go of your first love. Maybe not your first girlfriend, but the first person you ever think you have fallen in love with. Lines such as "No one else will have me like you do No one else will have me, only you" I think that could be like losing your virginity to that person, and he doesn't want anyone to 'give away the ending' because it's so close and meaningful to him. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying Jimmy Adkinds wrote it with the attention of the song meaning that, I just think some people may relate to it in that way. Anyhoo...This song is just brilliant, it's up there with Kill from the new album, still gotta love the old stuff though. "No one else will have me like you do No one else will have me, only you" Love those lines!!

This song is again another example of how Jimmy Eat World have these depressing undertones to a lot of their songs, but yet, they are so beautiful and spiritually lifting that it makes life worth living as opposed to being depressing emo.

nice one amy you got some good insight there, i think the song can possibly mean something different from everyone... human nature for anyone with half a brain is to take a song meaning and sort of bend it to fit your own situation or find comfort in it i feel. I tell you what i love about this song is the following: "Youll sit alone forever If you wait for the right time What are you hoping for?" I mean cmon thats fcking amazing writing, can be extracted and applied to so many things in life and situations with people you know jimmy eat world ahve really outdone themselves with this track and the whole futures album. amazing

definately a contender for the best jew song. very simple and relatable. my take was it's about leaving that one person becos they have it set in their minds that it can't work but he knows that they were right for each other and sort of belong to each other.

Yeah this is my other favorite on the album, the new album is really great, i change my favorite like every time i listen to it because they are all to easy to relate too, but yeah, this song, "no one else will have me like you do, no one else will have me, only you" I love that line, so much, it makes me cry.

i feel he is finally take a step ahead and moving on, he has made mistakes with someone he loved, and that person might not be over it, and discourages him. he is waiting for her to forgive him, but she is just not helping him at all and he knows whats best even though he loves her alot.. thats what i see in this song. that is my opinion. "Im still driving away And Im sorry every day I wont always love these selfish things" "It was my turn to decide I knew this was our time No one else will have me like you do No one else will have me, only you" "Amazing still it seems Ill be 23 I wont always love what Ill never have I wont always live in my regrets"

Very strong mood in this song, fortunately I think the bonus track rounds up the album a bit better as in my opinion, it is a bit more energetic uplifting, but only just.

Best jew song on futures ill say that. You cannot compare this song to those of clarity though. You can never say ANY jew song is better than 'For me this is heaven' sorry.
