amazing... Jim gives us the situation of a girl not being loved in return for the love she gives... and the way he takes the lyrics to this and makes the most beautiful song (untitled). Unreal!

I agree with "darkestsunshine" in the meaning. But I wonder wether the songs "Christmas Card" and "12.23.95" are in relation to each other. I mean look: in the one song a boy sends words in any form to his girl saying goodbye on christmas. the other is the same thing just from a girl's view ... ... ... *click* 1

these lyrics are amazing. i think it's more about loving in different ways, since it is obvious that he feels for her. the lines "no more lies, the ones we live will work just fine" is just amazing. it sounds like it's the end of a complicated relationship in which nothing makes sense and their trying to seperate from each other, but it's not easy on either one.

Jimmy Eat World is an enigma to me. How could they go from writing something like this, so beautiful but so intense, to The Authority Song? What happened to them? I thought bands progressed over time, not fell apart. Anyway... this is more than likely my favorite Jimmy song. I wish they didn't seperate the end from it in Singles though. I wonder why they decided to do that.

this is awesome i think the reason for their bleed american bit is that like many bands wanted to experiment for example the new blink-182 cd is wat different then their usual stuff
