| This song is sooo awesome! Anyone who has ever been sad in their whole life can relate to this song. I don't know if it's about those 2 guys or whatever, I have never heard of them, but unless the guy that is singing this personally knew them, I don't think it is. It seems to me like the guy was in love with the person who he wrote this song about! What else could make you feel so, soo, juss sad and happy and excited at the same time? Whenever I feel low, I listen to this song, and I hope that someday, someone would wish it for me. | |

| I love this song. It's one of my favorites off the new Jimmy Eat World CD "Bleed American." I think what the guys are trying to convey to the listener is that someone in their life that was close to them died and that person did so much for them, but they never the opportunity to thank them for the little things. Also that they hope that they're somewhere in heaven and maybe looking down on them. | |

| The person probably did a lot for them and they never got a chance to thank them for it, but I think that's because the person dies. It's hard to imagine this song being about someone living with things like "may angels lead you in" and "a song for a heart so big god wouldn't let it live" | |

| Yeah... this song is about Mykel and Carli... The two =w= fans who were the first 'real' believers, i guess you could say, in weezer. They were the ones that helped them out and everything.. "there's no one in town i know you gave us someplace to go" so, this was a thank you to them. Also, when they got in the crash, it was a sad time, and hence the " i never said thank you for that thought i might get one more chance " This was a sad time in =w=... =( | |

| this song was included on an album dedicated to Mykel and Carli, the women that ran the weezer fan club 93-97. they're catchphrase (sort of) was hear you me, and they died in a car crash. knowing this, the song makes sense, as the duo would often look after up and coming bands my giving them places to stay and baking them cakes and food at concerts | |
