KK, this is drop Db tuning...and its your lucky day, cuz i'm going
to teach you my quick and easy way to tune it like this

E|----------------------------
B|----------------------------
G|----------------------------
D|----------------------------this is normal tuning....ok, this is real simple
A|----------------------------simply keep dropping the low E string
E|----------------------------(<--this one) until the 8th fret matches the A string

A----0-----they should ring in harmony)
Db----8-----

now tune down the A until the low E string (now Db) will ring with
the A when played on the 7th, like this

Ab----0------they should ring like this
Db----7------
now, simply tune the other strings down until they'll ring when
played as shown

Eb|-----------------0-----------
Bb|-------------0---5------------
Gb|---------0---4----------------
Db|-----0---5--------------------
Ab|-0---5------------------------
Db|-7---------------------------

or, if you have a KORG tuner or something similar, just press
the 'flat' button once and tune it that way, either way

alright! now you're all set...hopefully that was useful, anyways,
its the correct tuning, i'm 100% sure...

Song: Nothing Wrong -Jimmy Eat World
Album: Futures

Great Song, Great Album, Great Band...
Two Guitars Are used, but I can only hear two guitars on the solo,
as one is playing the solo and the other is playing the
rythm, so, i guess, just have both guitars play everything else
and it will probably sound good...weird effect on the
solo, but if use just some type of wah-wah it will probably sound
close...i listened to this a few time, and i'm like 90% sure
this is right, so check, and email me any changes at canfezplay@hotmail.com.
Enjoy!

Lyrics:

Verse 1:
Hold them down, our bleeding suspects
just because
just cause?
Just who are you
by candlelight burn, burn, burn baby
burn, burn whose turn
who gets a taste today?

Chorus:
we've done nothing wrong
but we've done nothing
we can't look away
but we're just looking
it's second nature to say:
we've done nothing wrong

Verse 2:
turn them off, our blacklist singers
don't ask why
don't cry; don't make a scene
on 45 spin, spin spin give in
spin, spin who wins?
who's not afraid to play?

Chorus

Bridge:
done nothing but take what's handed down,
said nothing but what's approved to shout
we want to know that we own the cake we're eating,
then spit it out
out

hold them, down our bleeding suspects
turn them off, our blacklist singers

Chorus

yeah, the first thing i thought of when i heard this song was the war in Iraq and how as individuals we haven't done anything wrong but we haven't done anything right either, because the whole thing is just a big mess

i don't care what everyone else thinks....everytime i hear this song, i think about how they were dropped. they did nothing wrong. were popular in the indie scene and had tons of fans, and made a good profit from it all...so why should they of been dropped?!? "We wanna know that we own the cake we're eating":it's like they wanna know that they have control over what they're creating and making of themselves. nobody wants a mainstream washed out band that lasts a few years....but that's just what i think of when i hear it. i'm probably wrong, but it seems to work kinda. 1

Yeah, I not sure what this song is supposed to mean, but perhaps it relates somehow to the whole growth, drug, or relationship theme of the CD. Initial response tells me that this song is about overcoming. Like when you get to a situation where you can't help but blame yourself for the outcome, even though it should have turned out alright. I dunno. Nevertheless I agree with unknown user, the solo is great!

Ok, has no one noticed the blacklist singers line other than meandmyarrow? This term refers to the blacklisting of communist actors and others in Hollywood led by Senator Joe McCarthy. Sadly, because his plans were thwarted (go see the movie Good Night and Good Luck to see what I'm talking about) communism was able to steap in America and permeate through the media and give us the state of things today with communist sympathizers such as Hillary Rodham Clinton or Michael Moore. Along with that group is Jim Adkins (lead singer of Jimmy Eat World). His reference to blacklisting obviously shows the political slant of the song; but, I still can't figure out what his exact point is. Obviously he's saying that there's something "wrong" being done and people are just looking away. What that "wrong" is, I'm not sure; but, if it has to do with some paranoid delusion of modern day blacklisting, that explains his reference to Mr. McCarthy. If any blacklisting is being done today, it's people like Ann Coulter and anyone who supports the war in Iraq, people who don't get any airtime on any liberal run media station (CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc.). They are shouted out and practically blacklisted from the previously mentioned liberal media. It seems the only time freedom of speech is to be protected is when it's speech that liberals agree with. I'm fine with liberals speaking their mind (though I don't think it's a good idea, they usually end up showing their true fallacies), they have a right to their opinions, I just wish I had a right to mine. I digress. So, what I'm wondering is when Jim says blacklist singers whether he is referring to his own band and bands like it that he is paranoid about getting blacklisted. Or, if he's referring to bands that he believes are blacklisters (ooh, that would be a good band name).

this is one of the best songs on the new album in my opinion, although it stands out as its not as layered, complicated or thought through as the other songs. but its v.catchy

this song is awesome. i however; do not se how it relates to the war in iraq. maybe its because im nto an american. but even still it is a very catchy song and is easy to play to. i find that it just fits in with the rest of the songs on the album. awesome band.

I don't think blacklist automatically means communism. You could be blacklisted from a place such as a restaurant or bar for bad behaivour. To me the blacklist part is about artists like the Dixie Chicks. They speak their mind, and when they do, certain radio stations won't play them, and people destroy their records. So they are blacklisted from specific parts of the media. And the "Nothing Wrong" isn't a reference to people doing nothing wrong and being jailed for it during the "red scare". The very next line, "But we've done nothing", means that can't be what he is talking about. The line means that though you may not be doing anything wrong, you aren't doing anything at all. And T3825 before you say we're all stupid, you should really learn proper grammar. You even put "YOUR ALL STUPID" instead of "YOU'RE ALL STUPID". A grammar mistake when insulting other people's intelligence, that's strangely funny to me.

this song is easy if you just pay attention to the words while not listening to the song. what i get from it is america. us as americans being those who just "want to know if they own the cake" taxpapers, homeowners, ect. with the war in iraq there has at least trippled the amount of silent protesters at every event. not just random punks, but middle and even upper middle class. these people are not standing for whats going on. though they are just "looking in" and "can't just look away". ect.....
