| In an interview, Jim said it was about a past relationship--I'm not sure if it's his or not, he is super ambiguous when it comes to songs, and he's even said that when he says I or you he could be talking about anyone, and not necessarily himself. He said it's about a girl--I believe he uses the words "psycho bitch"--and the relationship was bad but the guy just didn't want to let go. Happened in 99 I believe he said. I think he also talked about how nostalgia is death, which is another one of his awesomely written lyrics. Well I'll find that interview and post it up for sure. | |

Your trying to listen to music because its hard, not because its good. | This is the first song of Jimmy Eat World that I ever heard, it was actually off the split EP with Jebidiah. If u haven't heard that version you should, for me its so much more powerful. I don't think any other song pulls more strings than when he sings 'you I'm thinking of you, I miss you'. This whole song applies so strongly to me and the girl that's involved is actually the one that introduced this song to me in the first place. | |

| I agree with *making my peace*, this is a re-release, just like "sweetness", the version off of the Jebediah Split is better. and to *Simplisticdreams*, you really think JEW isn't any good? maybe you just didnt catch them before they went mainstream, but this band has been one of my favorite emo bands, i put them up there with S.D.R.E. and the get up kids | |

| i agree with markman on definition. this songs is so cool, and its in a really cool place in the album. after the molten angst of 'get it faster' and the pure cheerfulness or 'the authority song' this acts as a nice come down. the bit near the end with the singing sounding like angels...wonderous. anyways, that's what i think... | |

| how has no one commented on this yet. this is the most emotional song they've done. i think its about a guy who has been dumped by his girlfriend and is feeling the worst he's ever felt. looking at pictures, watching her across the street, but never showing how sad he is so not to upset her. the vocal harmonies in this are so beautiful, it kills me just listening to it. everyone should hear this so they know what real emo sounds like. | |
