| yeah, i think this song is a/b him helping someone deal w/ something that he's already gone through. He's trying to give them advice, but they won't listen to him. He's still going to do everything he can to help them, even if that means just listening and being there for them. He's watching the fireworks b/c he knows what's going on, but he can't stop it. Everyone has their own opinion a/b what this song means. I think that makes the song even better because everyone can relate it to something in their own lives. It's a really beautiful song, like a lot of j.e.w's music. You can just feel the emotion so much. | |

| this is another of those jimmyeatworld songs that sounds much lovelier than the message it is exhuding (like a sunday or for me this is heaven). i think the song is about any kind of obsession or addiction, from drugs or alcohol to being unhealthily dependant on another person. Whichever it is, the singer has experienced the trouble before and wants to help guide whoever he is singing to through the experience. This explains most of the lyrics and i think the title refers to fireworks as the effects of conflict, like sparks. That the singer can't just sit back and watch the fireworks, he wants to help and be there for his friend. That's what i think... | |

| You can take it as anything really. To me, its a dream. You can be anything you want in your dreams, and you can take anyone along with you. ...just my two cents ( ;) elroy) | |

| i think this song is about an addiction to something. he's saying once you say that you have an addiction and announce it to the world then you are free to overcome it and be what you want to be. thats just my two cents. | |

| honestyormystery..i beleive the correct lyrics to the song are "here you can be anything and i think that scares you" not anything that scares you....it would make more sense with and i think that scares you, don't you think? | |

| I'm not sure what this song means...it goes from one direction to the next, but I think the closest thing to what I think is what's posted by livetheemolife...I think he's trying to help someone with their problems but they just won't listen...like when he says, "I've been here before, but only by myself" I think he's trying to help someone else through something that he himself has been through, but by himself and he's trying to tell them that being through it with someone there to help you is easier than to go through it by yourself, "I said it out loud over and over but it did not help," it seems like he was reaching out for help but no one was there to help him and he doesn't want his friend to go through the same thing he had to. It seems as if he could see this friend heading in this direction and that if he/she ever got in this situation that he'd be there for them, "Just so I can hear you I stay up as late as it takes, as long as it takes." I don't know if that's anything along the line of what you guys were thinking, but that's what I got out of the song...and in the meantime, "Just Watch the Fireworks." :) | |
